Turns out there are laser pointers with LEDs that emit UV light. Whether they're powerful enough to be our pen is another matter, but they're cheap ($20-25) - just Google "UV laser pointer". --Chris 17:55, 13 Jun 2005 (EDT)
Are we using the canonical LacI-regulated promoter (BBa_R0010)? It contains the CAP-binding region, as well as the LacI-binding region. It's just going to complicate things .... and none of the other papers use it anyway. --dna1112 21:11, 14 Jun 2005 (EDT)
- I think the consensus was that the hybrid lambda-LacI promoter was the one we would use but we should have the standard LacI promoter around just in case. --Chris 00:49, 15 Jun 2005 (EDT)
We need to start making sub-pages off of this page, especially for things like the lists of parts and plasmid combinations. Too much text to sift through. I've moved some of the big sections to their own BioSketch (blah) pages. --Chris 11:09, 16 Jun 2005 (EDT)
