[edit]
BioWire
Pros-
- Different kinds of signals, Don't have insulation.
- Cells that receive, versus ones that don't
- Multiplexing,
- No explicit connections, self organizing lines
- Use of photolithography
Cons-
- Very macroscopic
- Slower than electrical wires.
- Could be done with gap junctions
[edit]
Bacto-Sketch
Pros-
- Different sensing areas
- Outputs are useful
- Cool.
- Short input time.
- Genetic Latch
- Like UT.
- Like the coaster idea.
Cons-
- UV pen.
- Will Ecoli produce the substances we want, when they are struggling
- Kind of similar to UT.
[edit]
Coaster
Pros-
- Links with other projects
- Sensing different levels
- not long is the response time.
- Neat
Cons-
- length of the stimuli
[edit]
QS-(spray)
Pros-
- Wider reaching implictions
- Good background research
- Other testing methods.
- Biologically inert
Cons-
- Has a non-biological.
- Testing with non-preengineered cells.
