1. Attain a UV spectophotometer cell from lowest shelf of middle bench in room 5096
2. Fill with 600 uL dd water
3. Wipe, tap on table, and place into B slot of machine (Room 5098 on left as you walk in) with glass sides aligned with light path
4. Press Enter, set wavelength to 260 nm
5. Select Measure Blank
6. Remove cell and empty contents
7. Fill with 600 uL sample diluted 1:10
8. Wipe, tap on table, and place into B slot of machine again with glass sides aligned with light path
9. Reading is in units of OD
